Corrections

If a country total, sector breakdown, gas-level figure, or ranking on PlainEmissions looks wrong, report it with enough detail to reproduce the page and compare it with the source EU EDGAR v8.0 workbooks (European Commission, Joint Research Centre). The same process is documented in our editorial and corrections policy.

How to report

  1. Report. Email hello@plainemissions.com or use the contact page with the page URL, the figure that looks off, and what you think it should be.
  2. Source. Include a link to the EDGAR workbook, an official UNFCCC national inventory submission, or another primary source you think we should match.
  3. Scope. Say whether the issue is a raw EDGAR field, a derived ranking or aggregate, or a stale data-vintage badge.

What happens next

We verify reports against the published EDGAR source and correct confirmed issues in the canonical database or pipeline so affected pages update together. Material fixes are noted on the public data changelog, which already records the 2026-08-09 inventory-source framing fix, the honest per-route sitemap lastmods, and the 2026-08-07 honest-org identity cleanup. PlainEmissions is an informational research reference, not policy, legal, or investment advice.

When the figure is correct on our side but the upstream EDGAR release is stale or a country has not yet published a newer national inventory, we will say so and point you to the official record. We mirror the public EDGAR release and cannot rewrite an official government submission on a country's behalf.
