Data Changelog

This log lists material corrections and surface changes PlainEmissions applied after publication, including the 2026-08-09 inventory-source framing fix and page-vintage sitemap lastmods, plus the 2026-08-07 honest-org identity cleanup and 404 noindex fix. Each entry is past-tense and tied to a repository commit; we do not invent rows to pad the list. How to report an issue is on the editorial & corrections policy and the typed corrections pathway.   1. · Editorial correction

    Neutralized inventory-source framing language across the LULUCF, Climate TRACE, and EDGAR-vs-UNFCCC guides so methodology differences between sources are described as a documented spread rather than implying one source is more authoritative than another.

  2. · Index-surface

    Replaced request-time sitemap lastmods on static and ranking pages with per-route page-vintage stamps derived from git history and data vintage, so crawl dates reflect real page edits instead of a single build-time stamp.

  3. · Editorial correction

    Removed fabricated collective identity copy from author bylines, guide metadata, and publisher cards, and aligned attribution to the honest solo-operated editorial process.

  4. · Index-surface

    Noindexed the 404 template so retired or mistyped URLs stop being served as indexable pages after prior hub removals.

  5. · Data integrity

    Hardened the ETL runner to refuse a full rebuild that would delete the database and then repopulate only the wired stages, protecting data stages that cannot be rebuilt from a single EDGAR extract.

  6. · Index-surface

    Set paginated hub pages (?page>1) to noindex,follow so parameterized siblings stay crawlable without diluting the index surface.
